Voices from Friuli: Giuseppe Mariuz, Giacomo Vit and Nelvia Di Monte
Language is a crucial problem for the latest generation of new dialect writers. Some use Friulian habitually (Vit); for others it is an acquired language (as was the case for Pasolini); while for the children of emigrants is a reacquired language learned abroad (Di Monte) and enhanced through occasional journeys back to Friuli.
