This article deals with female scientists who are pioneers in their fields at Honduran universities: ethologist B. Myton, ornithologist S. Thorn, marine biologist M. Marín, limnologist I. Hernández, ecologist D. E. Pérez, botanist S. Lagos-Witte, microbiologist A. Ferrera, agronomist D. Espinal, astronomer M. C. Pineda, and vaccine expert M. E. Bottazzi.
